Diving into the Deep End

Maison Lejaby's Glorious New Swimwear Collection

This spring/summer season Maison Lejaby tops the charts with a playful, elegantly simple, and impeccably chic swimwear collection. The brand has breathed new life into this collection with the appointment of creative director Valerie Delafosse.  Delafosse joined Maison Lejaby from Eres, where she was artistic director of lingerie, swimwear and beachwear for seven years. She was also one of the founding directors of Princesse Tam Tam before working at Dior, Cacharel, Gap Body and Chloé.

Bringing together Maison Lejaby’s trademark technical expertise with its bold creativity, Delafosse has created swimwear that sculpts the body, thanks in large measure to high-stretch second-skin Emana fabric. Nothing was left to chance: Accurate lines, impeccably wearable cuts, décolletés and detailed backs that fall precisely where a woman’s body should be revealed, stitching that emphasizes shapes for excellent support -- each design hugs the body’s lines.

The collection also explores a multitude of shapes: full-cups, padded or unpadded balconettes, plunging v-neck décolletés, padded triangles, classic bustiers, one-shoulder and halter bustier tops, one-piece trikinis, underwire and more. Some swimsuits are designed like dress tops—perfect to wear under pants. Others feature chic, plunging “rivet” punctuated by small studs that decorate two thin belts, sculpting the chest and seamlessly outlining the hips. Still others combine draping and knot effects on the front or back, depending on what you want to highlight. And the cherry on top? Cup sizes up to a G for the well-endowed beachgoer!

Here are just a few beauties from this playful, timeless, glamorous collection:
