Since 1930, Maison Lejaby has passionately reimagined traditional lingerie, bringing a modern and distinctive perspective on women and their times. Neither a fashion label nor a luxury brand, it defines itself as a true Design House: more accessible than luxury names, yet distinguished from ready-to-wear by its unique craftsmanship.
In its Lyon workshops, Maison Lejaby cultivates the art of finely crafted lingerie, made according to the highest standards using the finest European materials, rigorously selected to combine elegance, comfort, and support — even in larger sizes. Each Maison Lejaby bra is the result of meticulous work, involving up to 50 individual components, 10 different materials, and 22 manufacturing steps — a testament to rare artisanal excellence.
History
A story of innovation in the service of women
It all began in the 1930s, when Gabrielle Vianney created her first “La Gaby bras,” giving birth to the Lejaby brand. A true pioneer, Lejaby introduced innovation as early as the 1960s by incorporating Lycra fibers into its products — a first in the lingerie world.
In the 1970s, the brand supported women’s liberation with Miss Liberty, a soft, colorful triangle bra. The 1990s marked a technological breakthrough with Nuage, the first microfiber line and an iconic invisible bra.
In the 2000s, Élixir (now Maison Lejaby) finally brought refined lingerie to fuller figures. The 2010s marked a transformation into Maison Lejaby, with signature lines such as MISSLEJABY and NUFIT, and the revival of its swimwear collection.
