For its fourth edition, Promincor- Lingerie Française, the Association for Promoting the French Lingerie Industries and DEFI (the Committee for Promoting and Developing French Clothing Industry), are delighted to present their new ALTER EGO show on January 21, 2024 at the legendary Cirque d’Hiver in the center of Paris.
The ten most prestigious French Lingerie brands – ANTIGEL, AUBADE, CHANTELLE, CHANTELLE X, EMPREINTE, LISE CHARMEL, LOU, LOUISA BRACQ, MAISON LEJABY and SIMONE PERELE – will come together to present their collections in an exceptional fashion show that pays tribute to the know-how and creativity of French Lingerie with its worldwide reputation. Sharing the same values and same heritage of the long-standing underwear and corset trade, they will express themselves with a single voice during a contemporary show.
French Lingerie does its show
Following the success of the previous “Lingerie, Mon Amour”, “Lingerie Rocks” and “Retro Futur” fashion shows, Promincor – Lingerie Française will welcome almost 600 professionals from around the world (buyers, media, influencers, VIPs) to the Cirque d’Hiver for a new, never-before-seen show.
The “ALTER EGO” show brings together the heritage, know-how, creativity and innovation of these ten emblematic brands with age-old traditions. This urban show looks towards the future by emphasizing the values of French Lingerie (self-confidence, ultimate fit, a respect for sustainability and high-level French creation) and kicks off the festivities for the upcoming Olympic year in Paris:
A committed, very urban dance show
French Lingerie truly captures the times by marking women’s many evolutions and emancipations over the centuries. It also reveals a woman’s relationship to herself and to her intimacy, to other people and to seduction.
Pushing one’s limits beyond what one imagines to be attainable and achievable… discovering one’s self, connecting with one’s other self, reconciling with one’s alter ego… this is what this 45-minute dance show proposes.
This strength that we all have enables us to find ourselves again, like a link that has never been broken or a loop closed to form a circle… a symbol of unity, wholeness, enlightenment and ultimately, the cycle of life and rebirth.
“Alter Ego” is a progression towards oneself, one’s perfection and to one’s personal infinity.
“Alter Ego” is also a tribute to sports, the Olympic Games, athletes and ultimately to all women and humanity at its most fragile, but also strongest, in terms of courage and self-confidence.
In the show’s choreography, breakdance movements will be integrated with other dance styles in a nod to this year’s Paris Olympics that will include breakdancing as a new sport alongside surfing, skateboarding and climbing.
